Sales of hybrid cars in the United States for the first half of 2007 reached an absolute record - from January to June has sold 187 000 such machines. These figures an American consulting company J. D. Power and Associates. Despite the fact that experts predict a decline of sales of hybrids in the second half of the year, it is expected that by the end of 2007 will be sold as a whole 345 thousand cars. By comparison, for the entire year 2006 in America has sold 265 thousand hybrids. The most popular hybrid model is still the Toyota Prius (94 503 copies). By 2010 the market will be presented to U.S. 65 hybrids - 28 passenger cars and 37 pick. By this time, their sales volume will reach 775 000, experts say.
