Peugeot Citroen is developing hybrids Premium

While the other car are developing hybrid vehicles and diesel versions intended for the general public, French group PSA Peugeot Citroen seriously concerned about the production of "green" premium-class cars.

According to the PSA, luxurious cars equipped with powerful petrol engines, causing great harm to the surrounding atmosphere and should be replaced by the more "friendly".

Concern is implementing their development in collaboration with the Government of France, allocated for the just cause of some 150 million dollars. However, initially planned that the entire subsidy amount to 776 million dollars, but European Commission has not approved such costs. PSA Peugeot Citroen plans to withdraw "pure" premium-class cars on the market as early as 2011.
